Speed & Fuel Consumption

Cruising Speed & Fuel Consumption

Powered with twin Volvo Penta D13-900 (2 × 900 hp) shaft-drive diesels, the F55 delivers excellent performance and economical passage-making. From independent testing:

        •             At 2,200 rpm, the yacht achieved 26.6 knots with fuel consumption approx 291 L/hour, which converts to about 11 L/nm. 

        •             At more moderate loads, e.g., around 22 knots (≈2,000 rpm) consumption was ~230 L/hour with ~10 L/nm. 

        •             With a fuel capacity of 2,750 litres, the practical range at cruising speed with reserve is approx 250 nautical miles. 

Max Speed & Fuel Consumption:

For the Princess F55 (with twin Volvo Penta D13‑900 engines) the published max speed and rpm data are as follows:

• Top speed: approx. 33 knots. 
• Recorded max rpm in sea trial: ~2,500 rpm giving ~29.4 knots in the test conditions
