DESCRIPTION
LOON is a 221’ Icon motoryacht with 6 decks and 7 staterooms, and is considered the most famous and marketed charter yacht in the world.
Combining comfort and luxury, Studio Linse (Interior Designer) created the interior with a minimalistic and refined elegance. The subtle colors and elegant furnishings create a serene atmosphere for relaxed ocean living. While Redman Whiteley Dixon Design (Exterior Designer) perfected a true design masterpiece with incredible exterior comfort.
A few outstanding features are her main deck master with a private staircase up to her 180-degree view private lounge and/or office with a private exterior sunning area (this lounge and/or office could one day be easily transformed into a separate VIP stateroom similar to her sistership allowing for an 8-stateroom configuration).
In 2014 the Icon factory extended her hull by 16.40’ (5m) allowing for the largest beach club ever seen on a vessel of this size; one of the coolest features only found on Icons is the private hallway between the beach club and the lower guest accommodations. In addition, this extension made for an aft deck playground including a 24.60’ x 11.48’ (7.5m x 3.5m) saltwater or freshwater pool surrounded by sunbeds. There is also an additional exterior sofa and dining area forward of the pool.
Forward of the Owner’s lounge and/or office is a large tender garage, which is one of the largest garages on similar size vessels! LOON’s garage fits 3 tenders, 3 jet skis and several toys. The garage’s location and size were incredibly thought out because it keeps the tenders off the decks, keeps them weather-protected, and allows for the massive beach club where a tender garage is usually located; this also allows for easier toy removal while stern in, and allows for guests’ immediate access to the water without waiting for the typical aft garage set up.
LOON’s spacious interior can accommodate up to 13 guests in 7 staterooms. The Owner’s master stateroom spans over two decks. There are 2 additional guest staterooms on the skylounge deck which is forward of the skylounge. On the starboard side there is a spacious VIP guest stateroom with a queen size bed, and forward to the port is a smaller stateroom with a single berth, perfect for a child or nanny. There are 4 comparable sized staterooms on the lower deck, all with queen berths, 2 of these berths can easily convert to singles.
LOON was built for long-range cruising and boasts a range of 6,000 nautical miles at 12.5 knots. She is equipped with zero speed stabilization both at anchor and underway to ensure a comfortable voyage in all weather conditions.
