America’s Cup

Nautical alphabet a

In the America’s Cup there is no second, either you win, or you lose, and it has been like this for over 170 years.

Known as pinnacle of yachting, the cup holds the oldest trophy in all international sporting events. Originally competed in 1851, the America’s Cup was established 45 years before the modern Olympic Games.

The cup is more than just a sailing competition; it’s a race between races, and an event that everyone should put on their bucket list. Each year, the boats are sleeker, the teams are faster, and the crowds larger than before. The first team to score seven points will become the Defender of the 37th America’s Cup. The Cup is without a doubt the most difficult trophy in sport to win.
