TJB Highlights of PBIBS 2023
The Palm Beach International Boat Show has once again lived up to its reputation as the go-to show for yachting in the USA. From 23 to 26 March 2023, the show brought together yacht enthusiasts, clients, brokers, and manufacturers from around the world for four days of fun, excitement, and learning. The perfect time of year as many are looking to purchase a boat ready for the summer season or plan their family summer vacation onboard a charter, making the event a huge hit for the yachting industry.
AMAZING TURNOUT FOR A TRULY SPECIAL EVENT
The show was held at the iconic waterfront location in West Palm Beach, Florida. With an amazing turnout of over 800+ boats on display, 600+ exhibiting brands and 55,000+ boat show attendees, you could really feel the positive energy in the atmosphere.
“It’s always a pleasure to be part of this amazing event, and this year’s edition didn’t disappoint. There was an incredible array of superyachts on display, more than we’ve ever seen at the Palm Beach show, and it was great to catch up with our industry friends and colleagues. One of the highlights of the show was welcoming our clients to our new office in Palm Beach,” says Tim Johnson, CEO and Founder.
THE LATEST AND GREATEST IN LUXURY YACHTS
The boat show was an exciting opportunity to check out some of the impressive superyachts our clients can charter. We were eager to see the latest and greatest in luxury yachts, and we weren’t disappointed. With so many viewings, we were able to get a good look at each yacht and decide which would be the best fit for our amazing clients.
“CORAL OCEAN, a magnificent 72.5m Lürssen built in 1994, has had a recent refit that makes her shine in every way,” says Nicole Haboush, Senior Charter Broker Manager. “We enjoyed cocktails and incredible hors d’oeuvres on her top deck overlooking the entire boat show, with the beautiful Palm Beach island and West Palm as our backdrops.”
We also had the pleasure of filming interviews aboard SECOND LOVE, the beautiful 44m trinity yacht found at the Australian docks on Palm Beach. The crew were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond, our clients were so impressed with the yacht and the crew they tipped them 25% after their fabulous charter vacation aboard.
TIME WELL SPENT WITH OUR VALUED CLIENTS
As well as stepping onboard yachts, and meeting with Captains and crew, Palm Beach Boat Show is also where we can entertain our valued clients. “There is nothing better than seeing our clients during yacht shows to understand what they are looking for when it comes to purchasing or chartering a yacht, and how we can best assist them,” says Megan Cashmore, Charter Broker.
Overall Palm Beach International Boat Show was an amazing event, with four successful days which contributes over $1.5 billion of economic impact. We had a wonderful time networking with fellow brokers, and industry VIPs as well as team building time and enjoying the hot spots around Palm Beach Island. We can’t wait to see everyone back again in 2024!
