Gone are the days when we could plan our travels at the drop of a hat. This year, demand exceeded availability for superyachts in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Charter guests that hadn’t planned well in advance found themselves compromising on dates or opting for luxury villa rentals instead (head to TJB Private Travel for more on our property collection).
This is where the expertise of a boutique yacht brokerage comes in. With our yacht brokers based in strategic yachting locations across the globe, we are one step ahead. Our small, nimble team can act quickly when faced with last-minute enquiries. What’s more, we are impartial, meaning that our knowledge spans the whole yachting market, and we will select the right yacht to meet and exceed your needs, not ours.
However, it is always advisable to leave plenty of time to select from a wider pool of yacht choices. Here is a roundup of destinations that require planning to ensure you get the best of the best.
DECEMBER FESTIVE CHARTERS
Space for yacht charters this Festive Season for Christmas and New Year is getting tighter every week. If you’re toying with the idea of New Year’s Eve in St Barths, there are still some stunning 50m + yachts available for the ultimate New Year yacht charter in the Caribbean. If the perfect superyacht within budget is no longer available in core Caribbean locations, consider The Bahamas. Proximity to Miami and Fort Lauderdale gives a broader range of yachts to choose from, and we know of some exceptional yachts still available for a family charter in the Bahamas this Christmas or New Year.
We love ILLUSION V for a festive season yacht charter in the Caribbean. The award-winning 58m motor yacht offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 cabins and features elegant interior styling by Green & Mingarelli Design. She works particularly well for a family yacht charter with a child-friendly cabin setup and an extensive range of water toys.

WINTER/SPRING CARIBBEAN CHARTERS
Between January and April, the Caribbean is one of the most sought-after destinations for yacht charters. With some of our favourite yachts cruising between Antigua, Bahamas, Saint Martin and St Barths, there are endless options for the Caribbean cruise of a lifetime. For something different, have you thought about the Bimini Islands for your next yacht charter? Our U.S. broker, Megan Cashmore, recently jetted out to these beautiful Caribbean islands to discover why everyone is talking about them. Read more about her review here.
MOSKITO will be in the Caribbean until April 2023, and she is a trusted favourite with our brokers at TJB Super Yachts. She is a 55m motor yacht with ample deck space and comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 cabins.

MEDITERRANEAN SUMMER CHARTERS 2023
In 2022, the Amalfi Coast was our most requested destination. Those pastel-hued towns cascading down the mountains to an azure sea will always draw superyacht adventurers to the coast of Italy, and we are already seeing high demand for summer 2023. We also love Croatia and Greece for first-time yacht charters. Both destinations are rich with cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes. Many of our favourite yachts are already fully booked for July and August, so we advise that you act quickly for summer yacht charters in the Mediterranean. Availability changes daily, and you can count on us to go the extra mile to find the perfect yacht for your tailor-made yacht charter.
Available at the time of writing is ALEXANDRA II, a newly built Alegria 67 built by Fountaine Pajot. She offers sumptuous comfort plus performance. We love her vast flybridge with two large sunbathing beds at the aft and a 360-degree view – perfect for sundowners at the end of the day.
