The TJB Super Yachts Team Experience Some of Greece’s Top Charter Yachts

It’s been a busy month for the team at TJB Super Yachts. We’ve attended the Mediterranean’s top yacht and charter shows, getting to know the crew and outstanding amenities on board some of the most exciting yachts on the market.

We’ve also had the opportunity to see the yachts in action, with some unforgettable familiarisation trips. These important trips allow us to experience first-hand the yacht, food, crew, cruising grounds and overall vibe of the yachts we recommend to our clients. It’s a hard life but someone has to do it!

Roy Posthuma Unwinds on SERENITY II

I had the pleasure of spending a few days on board SERENITY II last week, just after we left the Nafplio Yacht Show. We were greeted by the owner representative on Thursday morning, and set off from port at 6:30am bound for a beautiful secluded bay near the island of Hydra.  It was one of those perfect mornings, when the sun was just rising and the air had that crisp, salty feel. Along the way we stopped off for a refreshing swim, and a play on the watersports equipment.

Once we were tucked into the bay, we were served an amazing lunch made by the talented chef which we enjoyed with incredible views.  Later that afternoon we lifted the anchor and cruised to the picturesque port of Hydra, taking in the spectacular coastline along the way. We finished our first day on the pretty little island enjoying a beautiful sunset from a quaint seafront bar.

Our second day saw us cruising to Epidravos to enjoy a private guided tour of the world famous ancient theatre – which is incredibly still in use today. In the late afternoon we watched the tender zoom towards us from SERENITY II as we sipped on fruity drinks, arriving back on board to be welcomed with another outstanding dinner.

On our last day we began our voyage back to Athens, but not before one more incredible experience. The captain stopped in a picturesque secluded bay on the island of Agistri where we collected sea urchins from the crystal clear waters. The chef then prepared them into a light appetiser which we enjoyed before lunch. What could be better than dining on fresh sea urchins you have collected yourself?

SERENITY II certainly lived up to her name, and we had a relaxing, luxurious and all-round amazing trip on this beautiful 40 metre yacht. Incredibly she still has some availability this summer, so if you are interested in spending a bespoke week on board then please do get in touch so we can begin creating your very own unforgettable experience.

Charlie Bush Explores the Island of Spetses on DIVINE

I left straight after the MEDYS show to join a fantastic team of brokers and charter agents on board the beautiful 30 metre yacht DIVINE. With room for 12 guests in five spacious air conditioned cabins, and an exquisite interior installed in a recent refit, she is quite exceptional. With the experienced and knowledgeable Captain Panos and his dedicated crew – as well as the very welcoming charter agent Konstantinos – taking care of us, I knew we would be in good hands.

We set off for the island of Spetses where, upon arrival, we dropped anchor in a pretty little bay and dived into our first wonderful lunch on board. After our meal we had some time to spend splashing around on the fun selection of yacht toys before making our way to the other side of the island and anchoring for the night in Spetses town.

The next day we cruised over to Ydra, a wonderful fishing village with delightful cafes and restaurants. From there we made our way to Poros for the afternoon where we made full use of the three-seater seadoo jet ski and wake board.

On our final night we cruised to the other side of the island and dropped anchor before venturing ashore. We enjoyed an authentic meal in traditional Greek restaurant before sampling the delights of Greek Limoncello into the small hours, and reflecting on what a memorable few days we’d had. We all agreed the whole experience was simply DIVINE.

Josh Francis Sets Sail on ENTRE CIELOS

I was lucky enough to spend three days on the beautiful classic Gulet, ENTRE CIELOS after the Mediterranean Yacht Show in Nafplio.

I had high expectations of the yacht after hearing of her huge refit throughout the 2018/19 winter – however I was truly blown away by my time on board. The yacht is simply beautiful. She is a 32metre Su Marine, built in 2004 in Istanbul. Her interior is still the perfect mix of the classic wooden style loved by fans of Gulets, yet combined with a modern, homely twist.

I was looked after so well by the yacht’s multi-lingual team led by Captain Stavros that I would have no hesitation in putting my clients on board this lovely yacht. We spent our time cruising the Saronic Gulf Islands and the yacht sat perfectly stable in the water and had a cruising speed of 11.5knots –  impressive for a Gulet.

Captain Stavros and deckhand Giannitsanos tied us up to the rocks in a quiet bay for an afternoon of waterskiing and paddle-boarding whilst Chef Rannia cooked up a mix of classic Greek and Mediterranean dishes. Every meal was a treat but my personal favourite was the fresh octopus and seabass freshly caught the day before.

The highlight of the trip was finding an amazing anchorage and having a Greek BBQ on the bow of the yacht whilst watching the sunset and listening to music with some great company and local wine.

With prices at 32,000 EUR for the week during peak season and sleeping 12 guests in five cabins, ENTRE CIELOS is both a remarkable and economical choice for Greek island cruising this summer.

Steph Inskip & Sophie Adam Discover the Beauty of the Greek Islands on NEW HORIZONS II

We had the pleasure of being invited to stay for three nights on the Fountaine Pajot catamaran NEW HORIZONS II after the Mediterranean Yacht Show in Nafplio.

NEW HORIZONS II is spacious, light, airy and comfortable with a fresh and modern interior.  The crew of three, including Captain Sotiris, chef and chief steward were extremely warm and welcoming and looked after us incredibly well throughout the entirety of the trip, working hard to ensure all of our needs were accommodated and that we were happy and comfortable at all times.

One of the highlights of our trip was our night spent on the island of Spetses, where we were taken by Corinna – the yacht’s owner – to Mourayo restaurant. This incredible restaurant is housed in a 19th century building directly on the water in the old harbor. The food was exquisite and we were overwhelmed by the charm and beauty of the island.

Another unforgettable experience was our afternoon of watersports in an idyllic bay near Hydra island. Our group waterskied, paddle boarded and swam in the crystal clear water, despite it being a little chilly!

NEW HORIZONS II and her crew would provide a truly memorable, five star experience for a family or group of people looking for a dream holiday.
