Tim has spent the last 20 years as a broker working with UHNW individuals and served 14 years in the British Army reserve with tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. His career began in private aviation before moving to superyachts. Growing up in a naval family, he developed an early passion for boats, and the yachting industry was a natural transition.
Drawing from his experience in larger brokerage houses, he aspired to provide a more personalized service to clients—a level of care that can only be achieved in a boutique firm. This led him to establish TJB Super Yachts in 2013. The swift success of his yacht brokerage speaks volumes about his team’s unwavering commitment and hard work. Running an innovative business with strong ethical values has its challenges, but it is also gratifying, as evidenced by a steady growth in yacht charters and revenue each year.
Tim prides himself on two core principals; a boutique, personalised service combined with a super high-tech internal infrastructure. His team are mentored at every level to nurture client relationships and provide consistent, highly efficient service. Clients receive the most up-to-date, accurate information as soon as it is released and can use the innovative and intuitive TJB Super Yachts website to build their own itinerary and explore the charter and sales market for themselves.

Tim went on to found TJB Private Travel in 2022, a natural extension of TJB Super Yachts, presenting a world-first for the luxury travel industry through an extraordinary, combined land and sea offering. Expertly sourcing luxury holiday properties in the world’s most sought-after and remote locations, TJB Super Yachts and TJB Private Travel together enable luxury travellers to curate a seamless super yacht adventure and world class in-destination holiday whilst ensuring consistent high levels of service and guest experience.
